Jillian was born in Hamilton, Ontario and moved to the sunny Okanagan in 2001. She fully embraces the Okanagan lifestyle and enjoys hiking, rock climbing, cycling, skiing, cross-country skiing, gardening, and spending time with her partner Karlin and their dog Rhea. She loves supporting small businesses and self-employed individuals along with her local community. She can often be spotted at the local farmer's market or at small independent businesses.
Jillian began her accounting career in 2008 when she worked for the Armstrong Fair as an accounting assistant. Since then she has had a large assortment of clients ranging from municipalities to restaurants. Jillian's preferred clients have always been small businesses. She enjoys the opportunity to help business owners understand their taxation requirements while utilizing available tax deductions, government grants, and financial planning tools. To obtain her CPA and CA designations in 2015, Jillian spent three years at Grant Thornton LLP in Kelowna. She worked extensively in their personal income tax department and has experience with a wide variety of clients ranging from young couples to retirees. Jillian enjoys working with her personal income tax clients to ensure all available tax credits and deductions are claimed and appropriate tax planning has been considered.
Jillian opened Creekside Accounting Ltd in 2016. She focuses on providing personalized and friendly services.
Cly was born and raised in the Philippines where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Far Eastern University - Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation.
He made an adventurous move to Canada in 2017 for a new challenge in Castlegar where he completed his Post-Graduate Accounting Diploma at Selkirk College. Outside of work, Cly likes to spend his time reading, playing heavy metal riffs on his guitar, cooking and grilling, martial arts, boxing, and travelling when he can.
As a full-time bookkeeper at Creekside Accounting and an Ambassador with the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, Cly is immensely proud to be a part of a team that challenges him every day.
Renee was raised in a small town in the Kootenays and moved to the ‘big city’ of Kelowna after high school where opportunities awaited. She completed her degree in Human Kinetics at UBCO and then specialized in holistic nutrition at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.
After several years of experience in the administrative role and running her own nutrition consulting business, Renee decided to challenge herself in a new profession. When she completed her administrative assistant certificate (with distinction) at Okanagan College, she joined the Creekside Accounting team as administrative support.
Renee has since moved from the administrative role to full-time bookkeeper at Creekside Accounting. On her time off she loves baking, outdoor activities including hiking with her dogs, exploring in the side-by-side, dirt biking, and other adventurous sports. If you’re lucky, you may even get to try some of her homemade baking!
Andy spent most of his life residing in a small town located in Germany. He successfully completed his apprenticeship as an Electrician in the Industrial Industry and worked in the field for a few years.
In 2016, he moved to Canada and went on a pursuit for new and exciting career opportunities. Andy situated himself in London, Ontario where he studied General Business and Human Resource Management at Fanshawe College.
He fell in love with the beautiful landscape of the Okanagan when vacationing in 2019, influencing his move to Kelowna one year later. Now Andy is able to enjoy the beautiful scenery every day! Andy enjoys hiking, running, camping, skiing, kayaking, and spending time with his loved ones. He is very excited to be a part of the Creekside Accounting team and we are very happy to have him.
Jenny was born and raised in London, Ontario where she studied at Fanshawe College. She started her career at CDI College in Red Deer, Alberta as an Administrative Assistant, then transitioned to a Learning Centre Instructor for Business English Proofreading and proctoring the Microsoft Office programs.
She is new to the scene of Okanagan and has dived right into the lifestyle. Jenny will be the first friendly face you will see when walking through the door or the soft voice answering your phone calls.
You may find Jenny at a local dance studio, taking drop-in classes during the week, or exploring many of the local coffee shops in Kelowna. If you have any suggestions on any local eatery, Jenny would love to take a piece of it!
Rhea is a golden retriever / cocker spaniel cross who was born and raised in Kelowna. She began her greeting career at an early age. She loves to say hello to clients walking in the door and may inquire in their coat pockets or handbag if any treats are available. The best part of Rhea's job is eating treats and keeping staff members company during their lunch breaks.
When not at the office Rhea's favourite activities include eating, more eating, lots of sleeping, swimming, cross-country skiing, more eating, and going on hikes with her family and friends.
